Full Review:
Green Harbor is a decent course at a fair price. There's nothing too spectacular about the course but nothing awful either.
The Good
- Nice folks work there. They squeezed in my tee time and were pleasant while doing so.
- Decent maintenance: some areas of the course are still suffering from flooding earlier in the year, but other than that, everything else seems to be up to par.
- Good for the average golfer with wide fairways and few surprises.
- As mentioned on their website, the greens roll nicely despite being a bit slow. I managed to drain a few long putts -- maybe I can blame my putting on the greens from now on.
- Every tee has the yardages on it for all of the sets of markers.
The Bad
- There's not much imagination in the hole layout. You can sense (accurately) that it was a farm converted to golf course. It doesn't really seem to have been truly architected for golf.
- There are no signs at the holes (this is made up for by the excellent yardage markers at the tees)..
- The course is rather short. You have to play from the tips to get a yardage normal for white tees at other courses.
Other Notes
- The course was played soon after a rainstorm making the sand traps hard to evaluate.
- Number 14 takes a tee shot of only about 180 yards to make the corner.
