With 36 holes (the Port and Starboard courses) Captain's offers a lot of great golf. The course is kept in great shape and has a series of very nice holes. Some of the locals will complain that addition of holes hurt the quality of the layout. I never saw the old layout, but it must have really been good -- despite the changes, the current Captain's layout stands out as one of the best golf experiences on the Cape.
Like almost all of the Cape course, Captain's can get very busy on the weekend. Book a tee time early, but also plan on taking a while to make the booking. Captain's is (unfortunately) part of the growing trend of courses with automated phone booking systems.
